Memberships and Affiliations

In addition to being authorized and accredited by the Somali Ministry of Education, Culture & Higher Education & Ministry of Internal Affairs, SAFE has partnerships or Affiliations with the following associations:

AAIE is a community organization that partners with educational institutions and associations worldwide to exchange international ideas and research that help develop and improve international education and school leadership

  

IVETA (International Vocational Education and Training Association) is a network of vocational educators.  The network includes vocational skills training organizations, business and industrial firms, and other individuals and groups interested or involved in vocational education and training worldwide. IVETA is dedicated to the advancement and improvement of high-quality vocational education and training throughout the world.

IVETA is working to create a new era in communication among vocational educators across the globe. Members include practitioners, researchers, and students in the field of vocational education and training as well as institutions, organizations, and companies actively engaged in human resource development.

 

In 1982, the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) was founded as the result of a merger between the National Association for Public and Continuing Adult Education (NAPCAE) and the Adult Education Association (AEA). In 2000, the AAACE Commission for Adult Basic Education (COABE) left AAACE to become an independent organization, but the two continue to maintain a productive relationship.

AAACE is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing “leadership for the field of adult and continuing education by expanding opportunities for adult growth and development; unifying adult educators; fostering the development and dissemination of theory, research, information, and best practices; promoting identity and standards for the profession; and advocating relevant public policy and social change initiatives” (AAACE 2013 Annual Report).

 

 World Federation of Associations of Teacher Education  ( WFATE )

It is the mission of the World Federation of Associations of Teacher Education to build a global community of teacher educators and to promote trans-national collaboration, support, and research and development in teacher education.
